It complements conventional medicine and people undergoing allopathic treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy, combating the side effects of such treatments. Reiki is non-denominational and has no creed or doctrine attached to it. It will work whether one believes it or not, all that is required is a desire to be healed.
